Move Everything Off the Floor
Cars, tools, shelving legs, refrigerators, freezers — nothing can touch the concrete during grinding or coating. Wall-mounted shelving can usually stay if it clears the floor by a few inches.
Wall-Mounted Cabinets and Appliances
Anchored wall cabinets stay. Free-standing appliances (garage fridge, chest freezer) need to be relocated. Coordinate with us if you have appliances you can't move.
Cleaning Beforehand
You don't have to clean — grinding removes dirt, oil, and old sealer. If you can sweep out loose debris and spider webs, it saves us setup time.
Access for Equipment
We need driveway access for a trailer and vacuum, and an interior door or garage door open during the workday. Pets and small children should stay inside during grinding.
Planning for Cure Time
- Foot traffic: ~24 hours after topcoat
- Vehicle traffic: ~72 hours
- Heavy items and floor mats: 5–7 days
