Signs the Topcoat Is Ready for Refresh
- Noticeable gloss loss compared to protected areas under mats
- Traffic-lane dulling that stays after cleaning
- Fine scratches that no longer clean up
- Isolated staining that penetrates the topcoat
How We Recoat
Light diamond sand of the entire surface to open the existing topcoat, thorough vacuum and tack, then a fresh polyaspartic or urethane topcoat rolled edge-to-edge. Usually a one-day job.
Adhesion Testing First
For any floor we didn't originally install, we cross-hatch and peel-test in a discreet area to confirm the new topcoat will bond. If the original system is failing, spot recoating hides the problem without solving it.
What Recoating Doesn't Fix
Bond failures underneath the topcoat, cracks moving in the slab, or moisture problems in the concrete. Recoating restores the wear layer only.
