Polyurea vs Polyaspartic — What's the Difference?
Polyaspartic is an aliphatic polyurea specifically engineered to slow the cure enough for hand application on floors. Straight polyurea is more common as a spray-applied basecoat or a rigid-flexible joint filler.
How We Use Polyurea on Floors
In garage systems we most often use polyurea as a fast-set basecoat under a polyaspartic topcoat. The combination gives excellent bond, elongation, and UV stability.

Limits of Polyurea Systems
Fast cure windows mean it takes an experienced crew. If it flashes before the flakes are broadcast, the finish suffers. This is not a DIY-friendly product.
