Coat Before Installing the Lift (Ideal)
If the lift isn't installed yet, coat first. It's dramatically easier to work an open slab, and you get clean coating under the lift base plates. Anchor into the coating without issue.
Coating Around an Installed Lift
We coat around the base plates with a clean cut line. It's possible but not ideal — you'll always see the transition where the lift sits.
Anchor Loads and Coating Strength
Lift anchors don't damage epoxy — the concrete underneath handles the load. The coating film simply gets an anchor hole; no structural concern.
Best System for a Shop Floor
Full flake or quartz-broadcast with polyaspartic topcoat. Chemical resistance, hot-tire resistance, and durability under lift traffic all matter more than aesthetics in a working shop.
